The room was really cold, the heater wasn't working. When I asked the reception to have it fixed they gave us a portable heater which was not working properly too. The room was not clean. The location also was far from the city centre and train station both. The worst part was when we asked to leave our luggage after check out (which was at 10:00 am), they didn't accept it. This is the basic thing every hotel does for their guests.

The room was comfortable and spacious, it was clean and quiet
It is quite dated in the furnishings, the lights are circular fluorescent tubes and slow to brighten up but then they reflect on the tv screen. The bedside lamp was ok so I ended up using that. There were several dead ladybirds on the windowsills which remained for my two night stay even though the cleaners had been in to empty the bin etc.

Stayed here for a couple of days during a 2-week training course so the location was brilliant. The facilities are good and the shower was the best I've used. The bed was comfortable and good desk space to get homework completed.
The walls are quite thin and you can hear guests in the rooms next to you - luckily I only overheard conversations! Guests walking in the corridors could also be heard. Smallest TV I've seen in a long time, and light switches and plug sockets are strangely placed. I'm afraid the food wasn't great, and I was ill after eating here so I went elsewhere the second night. A piece of chicken I was eating was undercooked halfway through but the member of staff I reported it to seemed to just shrug - rather than alert the kitchen staff, and check the rest of the chicken.

We only ate breakfast (which was excellent) but the cafeteria type facilities looked very good and dinner smelled delicious. The staff were all very helpful and cheerful and our stay was good.
I can’t recall anything which fell short of expectations.
