In easy reach of MK Bowl (via taxi, not on foot). Spacious and modern downstairs. Good selection of food for breakfast.
Bedrooms were dated, bath plug didn’t work

Very Good
Free parking and inclusive breakfast
The hotel was clean and tidy and had everything expected but it is not 'homely'.
It is designed as a large training centre so appears to cater for conference delegates rather than passing trade.

The staff can’t do enough for you here and are very friendly. it is a great conference venue with good facilities.
The rooms are old and tired and got very hot in hot weather.

Very Poor
The breakfast service was particularly disappointing. Although this was advertised as a buffet breakfast, the servers appeared unnecessarily restrictive and overreactive when guests took more than one sausage or more than one fried egg. This created an uncomfortable and embarrassing atmosphere for what should have been a relaxed buffet breakfast experience.
We also spoke to the restaurant manager, who was covering the role of hotel manager during our stay. He told us that they “get a lot of complaints because Kents Hill is not a hotel.” We found this concerning because it appeared to be used to explain or minimise the issues we had raised with him. We were also repeatedly given the explanation that the property is a training centre. We do not believe that being a training and conference centre should mean that guests should accept poor cleanliness, inadequate maintenance, excessive noise or a lower standard of accommodation.
The overall impression was that the property was not being managed or maintained to the standard we would reasonably expect from accommodation being sold as a hotel stay on Booking.com.
Unfortunately, there were numerous issues during our stay, which together had a significant impact on the experience:
The room was not clean to an acceptable hotel standard.
The mattress was visibly stained.
The carpet was dirty, including areas underneath the bed.
The bathtub had visible dirt/staining around the edges.
The shower head was dirty.
The toilet seat had visible yellow staining.
The toilet and bathroom fixtures showed signs of inadequate cleaning.
The bathroom ventilation grille was visibly dirty.
The sink and bath/shower drains were dirty.
The bathroom tap was dirty and showed significant build-up.
The mug and spoon provided in the room were dirty.
The bathroom bin was dirty.
There was dirt and staining around furniture and bedside areas.
Some room fixtures and fittings appeared poorly maintained.
There were issues with the wall socket/cable and other fittings.
The lift was dirty, including the floor and interior.
There was considerable noise during the night, including people running through the corridors, screaming and knocking on doors, which disturbed our sleep.
There was also significant noise from work being carried out in the garden during breakfast time.
A rat was seen in the garden.
The advertised/expected spa experience was disappointing. The spa was not actually within the hotel premises but was located in another building.
The facility was a busy local Nuffield Health club rather than a dedicated hotel spa, and it was very busy and did not provide the relaxing spa experience we expected.
Overall, the standard of cleanliness, maintenance, noise levels and facilities did not match the expectations created when booking or the price paid. The individual issues may appear minor when considered separately, but the cumulative effect was significant and resulted in a very disappointing stay.

The bed is super comfy
Its a very strange place to say the least. I've never been to prison but certainly feel like I experienced this feeling when staying here. The corridors are very strange. Children running about it groups EVERYWHERE and I mean everywhere.
I didn't like the fact out of every room in the building the cctv was pointing towards the door of our hotel room , I did think this was extremely odd.
The place is extremely run down , needs a lot of TLC!

The location and booking in process is good considering the area. The evening meal option is a bonus but the choice is limited. Better than expected though.
Sports facilities and pool are very good if a little overcrowded
Whilst breakfast is generally good, a bit of variety wouldn't go amiss. Sometimes banging Ibiza style music at breakfast can be annoying but not offensive. The windows should all open and not just selected ones in the accommodation.

The bed was comfortable, the room was clean. There was a fan for us to use on the hot night we stayed.
The staff seemed to do the bare minimum to help with queries.
The room was so far away from the reception as this is a very big place. There wasn't enough information to find the room easily.
We had one bath towel to share. No remote control for the small TV in the room.
I had hoped for a swim at the pool as this was part of the reason I chose to stay here only to find that the pool closes at 10pm.
The breakfast.. well....what can I say? It was like something from Faulty Towers. No one knew where we were meant to get the plates or mugs etc. Chaos is an understatement! I decided to take two small side plates to the counter to get a cooked breakfast. I asked for 3 boiled eggs as a vegetarian I don't eat most of the other food and as this was all i was going to eat along with a tiny pastry. I was told I could have 1 egg.
This place more than tripled their prices for the night due to an event at the Milton Keynes Bowl. This is totally unacceptable although I know many places do this.
