Kents Hill Park Training & Conference Center is a business center offering a modern leisure center and buffet restaurant, as well as cozy rooms with free Wi-Fi. The food is frankly awful. For example weekend breakfast no scrambled eggs just congealed fried eggs. Much of the food is too spicy for my taste. Meals are expensive relying on a captive clientele. Cafeteria staff do not speak or add always understand English.

Location and ease of checking in / out.
Room was very strange - corner. Breakfast we quite weird - only allowed 2 slices of bacon / not going to make fresh eggs - even if we have 15 mins of breakfast to go. Bathroom could be updated / split taps in today's world is also outdated.

All went well.
No flexibility with the menu for breakfast or dinner. I only wanted cereal for breakfast but had to pay for a full English breakfast. Similar for dinner. I only wanted a main course but had to pay for a full 3 course meal.

The Staff were very attentive and helpful. I was generally very impressed with them. The common areas were generally quite good, except for the carpets in the common corridor accommodation area in the wing where my bedroom was. The breakfast was good although the eggs left a little to be desired.
The room was tired and not terribly clean. Under the toilet seat, the inner rim was brown (until I cleaned it), The enamal on the steel bath is chipped, and there is black mould in the corners. The bath is not a modern one and is very deep, so stepping up into it might be dangerous or even impossible for someone my age but with less agility. The side panel on the bath has obviously seen better days and is delaminating. There was a dirty drain smell when I first stepped into the bathroom, and it took 3 kettles of boiling water and a goodly shot of shower gel down the drain to make it bearable. In the bedroom, the carpets are tired and dirty. The best thing would be to change them, but even a good wash would improve things. There was a broken plug socket in the bedroom next to the bed; in all fairness, this was replaced once I mentioned it to the desk staff. The mattress was lumpy and uncomfortable. The final straw: the free and fast WIFI refused to get past the login despite many attempts and some additional help from staff.

Food and meals are always really good. Lots of options for dietary requirements and chefs are willing to accommodate.
My room could have been a lot cleaner. I suffer with OCD so always travel with cleaning bits. I wiped down my bathroom and discovered that there was a large amount of dust in there. The mould in the shower put me off using it although it did look clean. Rest of the room was okay but I would argue some investment should be spent on re-decorating and upgrading some aspects of the room, but in terms of cost of the room it was good for what I paid.

I work at a similar but smaller premise in W. Sussex. So from a work aspect was intrigued to see the comparison. The site is far bigger in grounds, accomodation and conference facilties than where I work. Overall was well maintained. In regards the leisure aspect it suited my needs and purely accomodation and beverages, cost wise . was value for money. Generally I found the staff friendly, certainly the bar staff. Reception were equally friendly, but considering the amounts of large groups and the cramped size of the reception a bit rushed and under pressure. I would have liked to have spent more time at the venue to get a better feel of the place.
I wasn't sure of menu / catering arrangements. I looked at the evening meal options. It didn't appeal to me in look or clarity as to what it was. Breakfast was perhaps a disappointment. I had an early breakfast. The display trays were uncovered but the contents has been place either too early or in twoo great a quantity, for example the fried eggs were now overdone with no runny yoke and the bacon was piled high so the top layers were cold. I should have dug down. Quality was mediocre and if honest not worth the £12 prebooked or £16 on the day. In hindsight probably should have gone to McDonald's or found a cafe nearby. As mentioned reception just too cramped for staff and guests checking in or out.
